This is a horror-action game, based on the Halloween movies/franchise, in which players can assume the role of killer-protagonist Michael Myers (single-player mode) or play as Michael or civilians/victims (multiplayer mode). From a third-person perspective, players stalk and kill adult victims, using knives, axes, pitchforks, and environmental objects for more elaborate executions. Victims are slashed, stabbed, or hacked repeatedly, with executions resulting in more intense instances of violence: a character pushed into a table saw; a victim's head held in a fireplace over burning logs; a character's head smashed repeatedly by a refrigerator door. Combat/kills are highlighted by screams of pain, blood-splatter effects, and occasional gore (i.e., decapitation). Some female characters are depicted with exposed breasts, including a sequence in which a topless woman is viewed for a prolonged period. In one mini-game, players' character can hide inside a bedroom with another player—heavy breathing and moaning can be heard, as the screen depicts meters with hearts filling up. During the course of the game, players' character can smoke marijuana cigarettes, resulting in screen-distortion effects. The word “f**k” appears in the game.
